Since update 4.17.51 of MTR Teams app and depending of your Exchange configuration, you could occur a calendar sync fail on MTR devices.

This issue is linked to a new design only compatible with Exchange 2016+ and Hybrid Configuration and AutoDiscover v2 published externally.

A refreshed home screen design appears in version 4.16 and is enabled by default starting version 4.17.51.

The refreshed home screen changes how the calendar on Teams Rooms devices communicates with Exchange. The new method aligns with Teams desktop, web, and mobile clients. Make sure meetings that appear in Outlook or Outlook on the web are correctly reflected in your Teams clients.

Microsoft recommends to disable this design if you have an On-premsie Exchange server (<2016).

To disable the new refreshed home screen:

  • copy a file named SkypeSettings.xml on MTR device in this path: C:\Users\Skype\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SkypeRoomSystem_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
  • reboot the MTR

Content of SkypeSettings.xml:

<SkypeSettings>
  <TeamsRoomsNewExperience>false</TeamsRoomsNewExperience>
</SkypeSettings>
